Asbury Preschool & Kindergarten

 We are pleased to have this chance to let you know who we are! We have actually been around for over 50 years, and we have grown and changed with the times. 

 Our goal is to provide a safe, secure place for 100 children—ages two through five- to learn, grow, and develop. We are located within Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church at 1005 Asbury Drive in Columbia, South Carolina. 

 We believe in sharing God’s love with each of the children in our care. Within that framework, our staff is committed to working with the children using the best practices according to what is age and developmentally appropriate. Our older children have an opportunity to develop a special relationship with the minister of the church as he provides Chapel time for them once a week.

 Our Kindergarten program allows your child to become fully prepared for first grade in an environment without the overwhelming pressures and unnecessary influences he/she might deal with in other schools/programs. With our small class size, kindergarten teachers provide each student attention necessary to ensure his/her success and mastery of the curriculum. 

 Small class size and teacher-student ratio allow us to get to know children and parents. We invite parents to be a part of the special activities during the school year, and we depend on parents for their input and support of our programs.
